Product Description

Product Description

For too long religion has enjoyed the benefit of the doubt, taking all the benefit and allowing none of the doubt. With the rise of Islam and political correctness, the threat it now poses to our basic freedoms is beyond a joke. Award-winning comedian Pat Condell gets serious and gives religion the kicking it deserves in his popular and controversial video monologues, sixty of which are collected here for the first time, including Welcome to Saudi Britain, Free Speech Is Sacred and Wake Up, America.

Steer clear of this if you are a Christian, Jew or Muslim. Condell has no time for you if you think your religious views have any validity in today's society. Freedom of religious speech, a gay Jesus, America's obsession with christianity - it's all covered here in glorious, outspoken detail. Condell says what we atheists are all thinking but are perhaps too afraid to say publicly.
Buy it, read it, laugh, but above all, think about what he is saying. Beneath the humour is a real concern about the way we are headed.

Been waiting for this for some time and I bought it as soon as I saw it on Pat's site. It's the transcripts of 60 of Pat's excellent YouTube videos. It gives one the opportunity to examine Pat's comments in detail without all that tedious mucking about with a video.
It's brilliant stuff and I can't wait for the next one. If you don't know what it's all about check out Pat's YouTube channel and remember : NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO NOT BE OFFENDED.
If you don't like what Pat says, well, tough. My advice is to grow up.

God Bless you Pat! 11 Oct 2010

Well, what can i say? Pat Condell is an absolute legend and an inspiration to so many of us. If you have seen and enjoy his youtube videos (and if you haven't, where have you been? you need them in your life!!), this book is a must - get it on your Christmas list!! I really engaged with everything Pat said and completely immersed myself in this fantastic book. I found it almost impossible to put down but i also loved that each chapter was quite short and didn't necessarily follow an order so it's a really easy book to dip in and out of. It doesn't matter if you're an Athiest or not, if you're religious i would still recommend this book because it's incredibly witty and refreshing and cannot fail to make you re-evaluate or question your own feelings & beliefs which i think is important for us all to do from time to time. I honestly cannot recommend this book highly enough. Pat Condell is a genius, he has the balls, wit and intelligence to vocalise what so many have always wanted to say, but never had the guts to utter. Peace :)

I love Pat, the way he rants at the screen, little flecks of spit at the corner of his mouth, really angry, permanently offended, screaming knee-jerking madness, great stuff. Read more
