Product Description

Product Description

Tired of dating egomaniacs, interior designer Pamela Gray has nearly given up on men. She wants to be treated like a goddess - preferably by a god. As she whispers her wish, she unwittingly invokes the goddess Artemis, who has some tricks up her celestial sleeve...Twins Artemis and Apollo have been sent to the Kingdom of Las Vegas to test their mantle. Their first assignment: make Pamela's wish come true. So Artemis volunteers her golden brother. After all, who better than the handsome God of Light to bring love to this lonely woman? It might be a first but here in Sin City, where life is a gamble, both god and mortal are about to bet on a high-stakes game of love.

Loved this one as well, can't get enough of P.C. Cast. Would recommend all of the Goddess Summoning books and infact P.C. Cast to all adults to read who enjoy this style of book. Fantasy meets Romance in a brilliant blend. To think I only discovered P.C. Cast over Christmas 2009 by accident at the local Tesco's with her Divine trilogy, I have now ordered and read each of her books and can't wait for more.

Goddess of Light 8 Jun 2011

Thought I had found myself a new author, but after reading this one book I decided I wouldn't bother again. Not my cup of tea, even though I love fantasy books. I know others love this genre but not for me.

Goddess of Light 22 April 2011
Format:Paperback
As with all of the other goddess summoning series, I find that I am immediately drawn in by the premise of the tale. Gods and goddesses meddling with modern mortals, it only makes the imagination run wild at the possibilities. P.C Cast gives you a great mix of the two, giving you the opportunity to experience the what if. Out of the all of the characters, I think I love Artemis the most, she is just as you imagine a goddess to be, vain, arrogant and a bit of a b*tch but, as the story between the main protagonist Pamela and Artemis' brother Apollo unfolds, you get to see a whole other side to her (though she is still just as full of herself as before.)

The story typically follows Pamela who is in Vegas for work. Simulataneously you have a whole flock of Gods and Goddesses visiting the Vegas to experience a bit of the real world. An act of fate or more accurately the act of jealous and bitter god intertwines the fates of Artemis and Apollo with the unwitting human. Little do the three of them know that this one act of jealousy will change their lives forever.

If you are looking for a serious epic then no this isn't for you but if you want a lighthearted tale that explores the uncertain path of love and like me you love a good bit of chick lit then you will love this. I can't wait for the other books to come out just so I can read the rest of them and see what mischeif Cast has weaved for us. If you love a bit of greek mythology you might also like this too.
