Product Description

Isabel, a world-weary photojournalist, is grounded back home in Oklahoma, when her car plummets off a bridge into a lake. Struggling on the edge between life and death, she's miraculously saved by the Water Goddess, but with one tiny caveat: Isabel must travel to another time to seduce the legendary Lancelot du Lac away from Queen Guinevere. Simple. After all, the handsome knight is a dream for any woman in any century. Unfortunately Isabel is the one who's seduced - by the soulful eyes of the wise and soft-spoken King Arthur. But for Isabel, a deal is a deal. Now, the King watches as fate takes from him the mysterious beauty he has come to worship, knowing all too well that any interference on his part could destroy the kingdom he loves.

This is the seventh book in the Goddess Summoning Series and I have got to say that unfortunately if wasn't as good as the others. This one tells the tale of Camelot with our heroine Isabel being transported back into the past and falling for King Arthur. Although not as good as the other books in the series I did still enjoy it however I was a little bit disappointed as other reviewers appear to be with the fact that the story seems to have been done before. I would still recommend the Goddess Summoning Series however not so much this book. My favourite is still by far Goddess of Spring. Hopefully the next Goddess Summoning book (if one is brought out) will get back to the normal brilliant story lines that the other books had. If you like the series though it is still worth a read.

1. Goddess of the Sea: A Goddess Summoning Novel (Goddess Summoning Series)
2. Goddess of Spring: A Goddess Summoning Novel (Goddess Summoning Series)
3. Goddess of Light: A Goddess Summoning Novel (Goddess Summoning Series)
4. Goddess of the Rose: A Goddess Summoning Novel (Goddess Summoning Series)
5. Goddess of Love: A Goddess Summoning Novel (Goddess Summoning Series)
6. Warrior Rising (Berkley Sensation) now re-named Goddess of Troy: A Goddess Summoning Novel (Goddess Summoning Series)

Alright... 30 April 2012

Overall, I was not all too interested in the idea of Camelot and King Arthur, and although I have not given Cast a full 5 stars the book did impress me. However, it did differ slightly from what I had orginally thought of the plot. Not in a bad way, but it still didn't exactly pitch up to be my favourite in the Goddess Summoning Series. Isabel annoyed me slightly - many say that Mikki was the worst character, but frankly I loved Mikki and disliked Isabel. Well, not so much that I couldn't stand her, but there were times were I wished she would just stop.
Mary was wonderful, and the talks of 'pickles' was fantastic! Overall I say give it a try, give all of the books in the series a good old try. It was just this one that I didn't completely enjoy.

Meh! 21 Jan 2011
By Sushe
Format:Paperback
Having read no other books in the series, I cannot compare this to any other Goddess Summoning book - however I can say that this is a thoroughly average book. The problem is too simple - as is the solution. The sex scenes are light comparative to other PC Cast books. There's no action. In fact this book seems to be more about politics than anything else. On top of that, the storyline is self defeating. When reading the end bear in mind that the reason Isabel went to Camelot was to make Arthur happy.
But (there's always a but) this is a very well written story, promoting feminism and extremely funny throughout - look out for the pickles! And if - like me - you're a Camelot obsessed freak, this isn't that bad a story.
