Product Description

Product Description

Geoffrey Godden shares a wealth of advice and experience, gained in over 50 years of collecting and dealing in British porcelain. Opening with essential information on the history and manufacture, Godden then deals with the main British porcelain makers - Bow, Chelsea, Derby, Isleworth, Limehouse, Liverpool, Lowestoft, Vauxhall, and Worcester - including the most recent discoveries. This book is a welcome addition to any collector's library as it includes the most up-to-date research plus good coverage of the major later factories, ceramic bodies, and styles. Written in a straightforward and accessible style and accompanied by over 270 colour illustrations, it will be invaluable for the novice collector, and will be equally useful to those more experienced in the field.
