5.0 out of 5 stars Yeah, its pretty epic 19 Mar. 2010
By A. GILL VINE VOICE
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Im going to keep this review short. Why? Because anyone who is planning on buying
this game will not care what anyone else thinks. You've seen the trailers, played
the demos and now its time to see yourself if it has lived up to everything.

GRAPHICS
This is on par with Uncharted 2, if not better in several places. Hands down
they are 2 of the best looking console games so far. Each has their own strengths,
GOW3 has amazing greek landscapes, temples, ruins, caves and the whole ancient look
going for it which really makes it look special. And the gore is on a new level.

GAMEPLAY
The tried and tested stuff here, if it aint broke dont fix it. More enemies, more
boss battles, more puzzles, a few new types of gameplay which i wont spoil but its
classic God Of War which all fans should be very familar with. There are a few new
weapons for Kratos to use but other than that its all back.

STORY
You continue where you left off. Most of the story is focused on your revenge, everything
you do is somehow contributing to your revenge against Zeus and the Gods. It ends in style,
it didnt feel like they patched it together like a lot of places have been saying.

DISLIKES
Not much to dislike here at all. Only on your second play through might you get a tad annoyed
as the cut scenes are not skippable, and the button pressing events do get tedious after you
have to watch the same type of enemy dying for another time. But that is it to be honest.

OVERALL
As a fan i couldn't ask for much more. Everything in this instalment has improved upon the
previous two in my opinion. This is a great trilogy and it ended with a bang, i feel satisfied
with the end result and im sure most people will do to. For me, this game is worthy of a 5/5.

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Of all the games I've got, this is one of my favourites. The game play and the storyline are both great. The action starts from the very beginning and keep you hooked until the very end. I would recommend everybody to buy this game. You certainly will not be disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Clash of the Titans 17 Sept. 2014

You return as Kratos, more pissed off and angrier at the Gods than ever! Picking up immediately after the events of God Of War 2, Kratos is hell bent on ascending Mount Olympus and killing the remaining Gods. The almighty Titans are backing Kratos' progress up the mountain in pursuit of Zeus. The ghost of Sparta has set his sights on bringing the destruction of Olympus.

Kratos has been motivated by vengeance since the very first game, which makes this theme a strong driving force behind his actions. God Of War 3 is much darker in tone, diving into the sheer hatred that Kratos holds for the Olympian Gods. The Titans are also integrated well into the story and bridge the gap in the sometimes bloated narrative.

G R A P H I C S & S O U N D
From the moment you take control of Kratos, the world around him is a technical power house for the PS3. The visuals boast scale and size that set a new benchmark for game production. Even though level design follows a linear path, the same cannot be said for the scale on show. The camera will zoom out to show Kratos as a tiny dot on the screen, surrounded by the enormous Titans. Texture resolution and polygon counts have increased by four times to that of the previous game. Kratos' character model is brimming with detail, displaying realistic skin texturing, to the point the pores are visible! Animations are silky smooth, the Spartans muscle strain and contract when moving objects or performing feats of ridiculous strength.

The gore and violence is off the charts here. Sony Santa Monica introduce Zipper Technology to showcase Kratos' ability to carve enemies open and let their insides spill out as a bloody mess. The result is both disturbing and deliciously gruesome.

5.0 out of 5 stars Head-rippingly good 26 Mar. 2010

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I have heard all the hype, read how Dantes inferno was a virtual copy (which it is in many ways)but The first thing you notice with GOW3 is the graphics. From the menu screen right to the final credits the visual is nothing short of spectacular. The only downside is the lack of camera control but even still there are times where you just want to watch.
Take the already mentioned opening battle against Poisiedon. Sony have really worked hard on getting the huige Titans movement, Hollywood really have their work cut out in the upcoming film if they want to compete with this, it's THAT good.
Gameplay is pretty good too. If you've completed Dante's Inferno you would have mastered the moves here. The only difference here is they are improved. For expample whereas climbing in DI is up down left right. but in GOW you can then hang, plus the environment is less blocky and occassional changes, making it edge out the old Poet.
And it's more brutal than the front row of a slayer concert, with Kratos ripping off heads and using them as torches, or turning other enemies into stone.
Boss battles are tough, but with a overly fair checkpoint/autosave system can be taken down with style, and usually give the own family slaying son of Zeus a new item/weapon.
I like Dantes Inferno, and Bayonetta, but this is the real deal
