Product Description

Adopting fresh angles and modern perspectives, God has daughters too tells the stories of ten women from the Old Testament and finds that, as the women speak for themselves, their circumstances may not be so far from our own. Read Eve’s story as she shares her pain of having warring children, Michal reflects on a life of disappointment with David, and Leah expresses her isolation as 'a married single'.

Ten women. Ten stories. Hear the lives of Old Testament women as you’ve never heard them before...

5.0 out of 5 stars A new perspective on the women of the bible. 15 Mar 2013
By ocholland - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
A recommended read. Gave me a completely new perspective on the lives of biblical women. Some you would never even usually give a thought to, but who would have played a significant role in the lives of the better known men the bible. I will never be able to read about Moses again for example, and not think about Zipporah and all the sacrifices she made in order to support her husband. Or, the story of Eve and how as a mother she would have dealt with the murder of Abel by Cain.

The author has a unique way of getting into the mind of the characters and making their voices and thought really come alive.I found myself being able to relate to these women and their challenges even though the stories are about women who lived thousands of years ago.

Overall, a very good read and one I would recommend.
4.0 out of 5 stars I Enjoyed It But ...... 11 Mar 2012

This book grabbed my attention from the start, however a could-be excellent book is let down badly by poor spelling and terrible editing. This is such a pity as I'm sure the author never intended for it to be so. I gave it 4 stars because, aside from that let down, the stories are wonderful and I was left thinking that I really got to know each one of these heroines of the Bible! If you can look past the bad spelling and editing, then this book is a definite must!
