Deeply spiritual Welsh Hymns from the religious revival (Y Diwygiad) sung in a sassy, classy and, dare I suggest, sensual modern Jazz style. Lleuwen is an amaizing singer and brings a depth of feeling to the hymns that leaves you simply stunned. This album is an unique, moving and original experience.

If you like the music of Jan Gabarek (e.g. Officium) where medieval music is merged with modern jazz then you will understand the concepts behind this album. Take simple and powerful traditional hymns and set them in an ephemeral, transendental modern Jazz scenario and you get pure beauty.

Beautiful, perfect, haunting, deeply expressed emotion.

Sublime.
