Product Description

Product Description

This is the true story of an undercover investigator's experiences infiltrating the multi-billion-dollar global sex industry.

It is a story of triumph for the children and young teens released from a life of slavery and the rescuer who freed many hundreds of victims leading to the prosecution of dozens of perpetrators. And it is a story of haunting despair for those left behind in corrupt systems of law enforcement.

It is the personal story of Daniel Walker, one man who followed a path of costly discipleship, agonizing failure and unlikely redemption.

And it is a challenge to God's people to join in the battle that all might be freed.

What a book! A sobering reading. This book is incredible . It will shock and encourage you. It's about the victims of this horrible trade but also about the author - his own path to a closer and deeper walk with Christ. Read it!

Heart stopping account of Sex Trafficking 9 Aug 2011
By Human Trafficking Investigator - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have also investigated sex trafficking internationally and read thousands of pages concerning the heinous crimes associated with Human Trafficking...this is by far the best first person account I have read. Not only does the author describe his experiences in heart stopping detail, he is able to educate those who have a passion to serve the millions of tiny victims across the globe. We in the investigations and aftercare community should make this book a must read. And for those who want to get involved on a more personal level, support Walker's organization; Nvader. Bless you Mr. Walker for the service you have given, at great expense to you personally, to bring rescue to the sex-slaves who have no access to justice.

I trust you are brave enough to read this book 15 Sep 2011
By Malcolm McGregor - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
As a reviewer I have read every word of this book. I am not proud to make that claim because it takes you to the depths of depravity that is within man. It shines a light into the dark world of the sexual exploitation of women and children. It exposes a world where the criminal justice system is failing and is at times in complicity with the perpetrators.

Daniel Walker enters the arena of the exploitation of woman and children as a hero, a knight in shining armour ready to right the wrongs. He ends it still passionate about his calling from God but damaged and all too aware of his own deep struggles and the failure of our justice systems to respond to this epidemic.

It is not only painful to read the stories of exploitation but the very darkness of this world envelops the author himself. The vulnerable places and situations he was required to enter into in the course of his work ultimately expose his own vulnerability and lack of support and protection. He is open about his journey and failings, you can feel his pain. It is a pain he continues to live with. Yet it also reveals the grace and forgiveness of God in the depth of sin and failure.

Should missions work in this shadowy area of deceit and manipulation when deceitful and manipulative means need to be used to expose it? I have no easy answer to that question but if there is going to be effective work done in this area it needs to include significant partnerships between agencies, the police, the criminal justice systems, legal and Government bodies across borders and around the world all working together to the highest levels of professionalism. Without that happening more women and children will be sold into this sordid world.

I trust you are brave enough to read God in a Brothel and to respond to its challenge. It opens up a world where the light of the Gospel needs to be revealed in all is glory, splendour and healing power to dispel this darkness and restore the lives broken and damaged by it. May God have mercy on us if we do not respond.

An honest look at the realities of fighting human trafficking. 11 Aug 2011
By Talmage Payne - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Herein lies an accurate view of the human costs of trafficking for both slaves and abolitionists. While there are many books on the hell and horror of modern trafficking, Daniel further reveals the intimate personal pain and loss of fighting this evil on the front lines. In recent years we've witnessed an encouraging surge of engagement on the centuries old problem of slavery, but with it has come a steep learning curve. We must stop measuring ourselves against glossy stories and good intentions. Daniel calls us to a more professional approach to the rescue and recovery of slaves, as well as better care for those engaged.

The church has always sought to communicate to a hurting world that God is a rescuer who can save them. Our message has little credibility while we remain afraid, indifferent and inactive in the face of human slavery occurring in our own backyard. "e;

What would happen if we stopped asking to see God in heaven and instead asked to see him in the eyes of prostituted children? What would happen if in the face of the very worst forms of depravity and evil in the world Christians walked in the knowledge that they are the dangerous ones and the ones to be feared? "e;
