Great book, really inspirational. The author created some really inspiring and creative creatures in dynamic poses.
Kids love this book too, the back stories to enhance the particular characters is a great idea,
it goes beyond just being an art and drawing book. Recommended.

This is a great art book which I found quite inspirational. It serves as a brilliant introduction to drawing these fantasy creatures that beginners will learn a great deal from. The tips and insight to Scotts work flow are superb and the images up to his usual high standard.
I love that the book is not only aware of the importance of computer applications as a legitimate medium to work in but actually focuses on this powerful medium. While some tips refer specifically to using programs like Painter they are still universal. After all if you don't know the basics how you choose to create is null and void.
The book is excellent for getting your creative mind thinking. It gave me insight into new ways to think of characters backgrounds to flesh them out and make them more interesting.
The subject of Orcs, goblins Trolls and their variations continue throughout the book in many different incarnations. However the ideas can be applied to any character type or subject matter.

Really dynamic book that encourages experimentation of developing goblins!
It explains colour and some techniques and has caused excitement with some of my younger arty friends! Easy to read and very comfortable to pick up and flick through.
