Basically without any spoilers, whoever rates this film above one star has obviously NOT seen or understood the first 2 Goal Movies, this is one to avoid at all costs, it will ruin your image of Goal. Santiago is pitted against his Real Madrid team mates (who are not even in the first two films at all) they fail to mention that Santiago, the character the film is about DOES NOT EVEN PLAY in the world cup, nor in the whole film. Hes written off the main story within half an hour and the film then focuses on the love life of two fictitious England footballers and the pain of exiting to Portugal at the World Cup 2006. Im suprised Kuno agreed to do this movie as hes more of a guest star than a central focal character. Its low budget which is explains the so called live action scenes but thats not what bothers me, 2 years of waiting for this film and a director, writer etc have ruined the franchise not just for me but for every true Goal Fan. All those unanswered questions left at the end of Goal 2 (Santis unborn son etc etc) will never be discovered, in fact, all past characters are not even mentioned. So if you want to watch a GOAL film, just watch the previous two and make up your own conclusion of the trilogy, because you certainly will not find it here.

Goal ? 15 Jun 2009
Format:DVD
What an utter train-wreck of a movie, the Goal trillogy was supposed to be about the story of Sanitago Munez, a Mexican kid from the streets of LA who makes good, well the first two installments are, and you'd be forgiven to think that the next step would be a finale where the Munez story concludes at the world cup....... but no.

Goal 3 isn't even about Santiago Munez, he barely features, the story is about two fictious England players that have not had a mention in the story thus far, it feels like a cheap spin off of Goal rather than the concluding part of the Munez story.

No Anna Friel, no "Gavin Harris", just toe-curling cliche after cliche, just a huge disapointment to those that enjoyed the first two installments of this football tale.

If I could give no stars, I would.

Own Goal ! 16 Jun 2009
Format:DVD
What a shocker of a movie. I really enjoyed the first two instalments of Goal but this is utterly beyond comprehension. Santi is no more than a bit part character and there is no sign or mention of the Anna Friel character. Instead the film focuses on two England players not seen in either of the other movies. A real shame.......... Look out for the cameo from Mike Ashley who shows once again what a classy chap he is !!!

Just as good as Goal 1 & 2
The movie was worth the wait. I watched the first two via Netflix.com, but was unable to find the 3rd there or on amazon.com in America so I got it from amazon.co.uk instead. Read more

Total pile of rubbish
All I can say is read the book instead of watching this rubbish. The book helped me forget about this. I remember watching the first film and thinking what a great inspiration. Read more

What were the makers of this film thinking about!
My family loved the first Goal film, second was ok (in a middle of the story kind of way) but Goal III was a major disappointment and bore no relation to the storyline. Read more

Footballers Wives
Goal 1 and Goal 2 had some merit but this third instalment is really poor.

It has more in common with the TV series "Footballers Wives" than the previous two films.
