If only I had had this 20 years ago. I've spent a lifetime looking at personal development at work, in sport and my personal life. Not only is Goal Mapping the master skill everyone needs master to succeed, but Brian shows you WHY it works. I honestly don't want to sound over dramatic but this book REALLY changed my life in all areas. If you only ever buy one book on Personal Development this is it. Anyone can apply it and anyone can make it work

This book has echoed with such resonance for me. I've read many books on goal setting and mind-mapping, but none has compared to this. Mr. Mayne's right-brain Goal Map Template is pure genius - directly from the ocean of collective consciousness. I recommend this book to anyone learning how to set and achieve goals.

Since reading goal mapping, and creating my first business map, I have been stunned at the opportunities that have landed in my lap. Admittedly, it didn't turn out quite how my map looked, but actually so far it has been better! In the space of a week I was hired on the spot as an associate trainer, when I only actually went to look at hiring a venue for workshops! I was also signed up as a consultant and trainer the week before for another company.

When I started my map, I had real financial issues. My online shop was floundering and I was feeling rather unhappy. Using both sides of the brain made goal setting more real to me, and consequently I got the results. I have always tried writing down my goals but got bored with the linear method of doing this. Goal mapping is creative and fun.

This book I feel is more for the business person, whereas self mapping Self Mapping: How to Awaken to Your True Self can be applied to your personal life. But, I am reading both of them and enjoying immensely.

This is a must buy for anyone on a "self finding" mission... I met Brian during a "personal development" (note: not management development!) workshop, provided by my employer. Brian really does speak from the heart - most people would call him a "motivational speaker", but I prefer to think of him as a "guide" who shines the light on your personality, and wakes you from the monotonous dreary way that today's society views these types of subjects. If you have an open mind, goals and targets that you want to achive, but no "map" of how you're going to get there - this is the book for you! Once you've read it, you'll want to view the other books that Brian and his wife Sangeeta have written - but this is the best place to start. The book is written (almost!) word-for-word the way that Brian delivers his workshops, so he doesn't have to be "there" for you to benefit. I can't recommend this book enough!

Here Brian Mayne presents a convincing argument for writing down goals and making plans to achieve the things you want.

He explains how he thinks the mind works, with the concious instructing the subconcious, and the subconcious learning to get into a state of flow by having clear, repeated and comitted aims.

It is written in a very easy-to-follow style. I have been a fan of these ideas for several years now and I can testify that they do actually work!

You will love reading this book, it is filled with inspirational stories which reconnects you with the belief that anything is possible, no matter what our current circumstances, no matter what our own limiting beliefs - we are all able to achieve our hearts desires. However this methodology goes so much farther than mere inspiration, it teaches us how to enagage with ourselves to bring about positive external environmental and internal chemical changes whenever we choose to, and then once in a state of positivity how to capitalise on that state to come up with creative ways to achieve our goals and then the process to be able to put that plan into practice. The audio CD's are also great as they really bring Brian's story to life and give you the opportunity to listen to the main principals again when in your car and keep you on track. Once you get into goal mapping and start to engage with the process and create your goal maps, you will find that you can see what you want to achieve and making it happen is easy. If it works for me then it can work for anyone - give it a go and watch the magic happen :) Rain xxxx
