If only I had had this 20 years ago. I've spent a lifetime looking at personal development at work, in sport and my personal life. Not only is Goal Mapping the master skill everyone needs master to succeed, but Brian shows you WHY it works. I honestly don't want to sound over dramatic but this book REALLY changed my life in all areas. If you only ever buy one book on Personal Development this is it. Anyone can apply it and anyone can make it work

This book has echoed with such resonance for me. I've read many books on goal setting and mind-mapping, but none has compared to this. Mr. Mayne's right-brain Goal Map Template is pure genius - directly from the ocean of collective consciousness. I recommend this book to anyone learning how to set and achieve goals.

This is a must buy for anyone on a "self finding" mission... I met Brian during a "personal development" (note: not management development!) workshop, provided by my employer. Brian really does speak from the heart - most people would call him a "motivational speaker", but I prefer to think of him as a "guide" who shines the light on your personality, and wakes you from the monotonous dreary way that today's society views these types of subjects. If you have an open mind, goals and targets that you want to achive, but no "map" of how you're going to get there - this is the book for you! Once you've read it, you'll want to view the other books that Brian and his wife Sangeeta have written - but this is the best place to start. The book is written (almost!) word-for-word the way that Brian delivers his workshops, so he doesn't have to be "there" for you to benefit. I can't recommend this book enough!

Here Brian Mayne presents a convincing argument for writing down goals and making plans to achieve the things you want.

He explains how he thinks the mind works, with the concious instructing the subconcious, and the subconcious learning to get into a state of flow by having clear, repeated and comitted aims.

It is written in a very easy-to-follow style. I have been a fan of these ideas for several years now and I can testify that they do actually work!

You will love reading this book, it is filled with inspirational stories which reconnects you with the belief that anything is possible, no matter what our current circumstances, no matter what our own limiting beliefs - we are all able to achieve our hearts desires. However this methodology goes so much farther than mere inspiration, it teaches us how to enagage with ourselves to bring about positive external environmental and internal chemical changes whenever we choose to, and then once in a state of positivity how to capitalise on that state to come up with creative ways to achieve our goals and then the process to be able to put that plan into practice. The audio CD's are also great as they really bring Brian's story to life and give you the opportunity to listen to the main principals again when in your car and keep you on track. Once you get into goal mapping and start to engage with the process and create your goal maps, you will find that you can see what you want to achieve and making it happen is easy. If it works for me then it can work for anyone - give it a go and watch the magic happen :) Rain xxxx

Have used Brian Tracy before with good result, but mr Tracy started to feel a little to intellectual and corporate for me being an artist and a singer. Therefore I got interested in this book, that has the same "drive" as Tracy, but also takes intuition and pictures into consideration.
Some of the introduction is old "mush-mush" that you can read in almost any book of this kind - but it is always good to reminded from time to time so that's totally ok!
Further into the book, you got to the actual technique and it's good!!!

On almost every page, there were small boxes with quotations from many different persons - i thought they were distracting so I ended up ignoring them and only reading the author's text. Worked good for me.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to challenge him/herself out of his/her comfort zone - that kind of person that doesn't get turned on and excited by writing lists, but rather by pictures and symbols. (I have one of my goal maps in my smart phone, so every time i look at the phone I see my goal map :-)

Finally, as with all of these books: Finding a book, choose it, order it is the easy part. Reading it can also be a breeze. The work you have to do yourself! :-)
