Product Description

From Amazon.com

The Boston quintet had a fine run with a '94 debut that included the hit "Here & Now" and a slot on the Melrose Place soundtrack. A sophomore slump followed. But there's life aplenty in zippy, Veruca Salt-like "Anchor" plus "I Got Time" and "Sparklegirl." If it's any help, singer Kay Hanley can be plotted on a grid between Cyndi Lauper and Gwen Stefani. --Jeff Bateman

5.0 out of 5 stars DIFFICULT TO FIND, BUT WORTH THE EFFORT!, 8 April 2001
By A Customer
Like a lot of other people I first discovered Letters To Cleo through the film '10 Things I Hate About You'. Their presence on the soundtrack helepd make the film a more enjoyable experience for me, and so it was that I decided to try and find one of their albums. This proved to be more difficulut than you would imagine, because most places that claim to be able to supply any LTC albums cannot in fact do so! (Beware, if you have a copy on order from elsewhere, you could be waiting a long, long time - I was) However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Amazon can not only supply the album 'GO!', but at the time of my purchase could do so in 24Hrs. So was it worth the wait? Definately! It's one of my most listened to albums and is packed full with good songs. It is fast and upbeat, very much like the work they did on '10 Things.....' and has a refreshingly short play length (not too short though!). If you liked LTC's music from '10 Things....', then this album could well be for you. The only negative comment I have is that the group seem to have split up! I'd definately recommend this album if you like this kind of music and Amazon seems to be the place to get it from!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, 17 Dec 2000
By A Customer
This album is full of bouncy pop-rock and reasonably heavy riffs which makes it a album suitable for fans of all 'rocky' music. The best tracks on this album are 'I'm a Fool' and 'SparkleGirl'. If you liked the music on '10 Things I hate About You' then you should buy this, it's the closest you'll get without buying the soundtrack too, but that's worth getting just for 'I want you to want me' and 'Cruel to be Kind'. Buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Go Go Go!!!, 10 Nov 2000
By A Customer
This album is what every cd collection is shouting out for! "Go" is most definately the best LTC album and one of the best albums I've ever bought. There is not a single track on the album that lets it down. The addictive and memorable lyrics of each song on this album are what most mainstream records lack. If you want to get into LTC, this is the album to start with. When your hooked on this album, "Go" take a look at the earlier stuff, its well worth a listen.

I bought this album on a late-night insomnia-fueled spree, along with two others, including the absolutely *fantastic* Bif Naked's 'I Bificus'. I've got to admit... Read more
