From the Publisher

It's time to go.
From cheesy London nightclubs to Christmas in Goa, inner city tower blocks to Hong Kong karaoke bars, sleepy Welsh villages to jaded Chinese towns, Lee, Sol and Vix are on the run. But how far do you have to go to get away?

"Alongside Alex Garland and William Sutcliffe, Lewis is one of the pioneers of new travel fiction. And of the three he is the most in tune with experience of travelling and the possibilities it offers fiction" --Nicholas Blincoe, Observer

"The pace and wit of Elmore Leonard with Alan Bennettish realism ... Highly accomplished and enjoyable" The Times

"Confident, sharp as a tack, fast paced and blackly funny from beginning to end" --The Big Issue

"South London gunplay and backpacker slack, jet trash characters with gold dust prose ... Simon Lewis mixes it all with style" --Toby Litt --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

Gripping! 22 Aug 2000
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I bought this book thinking it was the same as the film Go! but as i read it i was mistaken but not disapointed as an avid reader from books like the beach to classics such as sunset song and cold comfort farm, i thought this book was excellent!

Lee, Sol and Vix were all completely different and Lewis portrays this fantastically. I found it a very moving and moral novel, as they were all running away from their problems, but in the end they all went home and faced the music. Also with lee he got what he deserved!

This may not be a classic as somebody has said but it is definitely worth a read!

It seems as if Lewis really knows how to write his characters- and the fast-pace of the novel really helps to create a sence of escape. It is as if the generation of wandering travellers has been extremely glamorised and I certainly hope that the novel reflects reality. This book as well as Alex Garland's 2 brilliant novels (The Beach and The Tesseract) have definitely turned my perception of world travel into a stunning view.

An Amazing Read!!! 7 May 2001
Format:Paperback
This has to be on of the best books that I have ever read. I read it whist doing my year abroad. I could not put it down, after every page I wanted to know what was going to happen next. A must read for anyone who loves a good, fast and gripping book

An easy read, simple plots; enjoy, but don't expect too much
If you can get past the first few pages and concede the lack of writing quality, Go is a good easy read for those times when your mind doesn't want to work too hard. Read more

Up there with Alex Garland's "the Beach"
A welcome relief to the Bestseller list. Simon deservedly joins the Garland and Hornby crowd. Buy this book!
