An insightful and enjoyable read. In Go Naked, Michael outlines how to approach sales in a way that will empower and enrich yourself and those around you. The result of course is that it reframes the nature of "selling". The activity and process of "selling" changes to the activity and process of "adding value" and "enabling growth". The way naturally highly gifted sales people have always done it, even if they didn't know it.

I particularly enjoyed the parts around balancing challenge and support to foster growth - an important lesson to be practiced in so many aspects of life.

In fact, the principles in this book are as much about an approach to life as they are about an approach to selling. An approach that recognises our mutual interdependence, and the truth that in the very act of enriching other people's lives, we enrich our own.

Buy this book, read it and then pass it on.

Having just read the first chapter, I can wait to finish it. This book is written very well and makes reading it both enjoyable and very informative. I will come back and leave more feedback once I have finished the rest of this book. I cant wait to get into the heart and sole of the book.

From beginning to end this book is gripping. Michael has recognised that his audience may not have a lengthy attention span and has made sure that there are plenty of funny and real examples to grab the reader. The content of Go Naked does not detract from or diminish the success of 'old school' selling. However, it give the reader confidence to adapt their selling, marketing and management approach to start building their business (big or small) off the back of a tough few economic years.

I am a sales person and a manager and always thought I had a good level of emotional intelligence. However, there are times when I dont take the time to understand who my audience are. I am your typical 'ABC' (Always be selling) sales person. The book has helped me to identify that I need to sometimes be the 'Engineer' (methodical) and not always be so commercially aware. It has also helped me to focus upon the relationship with the person, be that client, friend or family member. I am very good at forcing my opinion on people and taking on the responsibility for the outcome. I now see that I need to adapt this behaviour and challenge people through effective questioning to offer a coaching approach to any situation.

I stopped smoking a few months ago through the use of a book. It changed the way I thought about the terrible habit. I still read the book now to remind myself of the 'rules' to live by. I believe that Go Naked will be the book I keep with me at all times to use as and when I forget exactly what I want to achieve and how I want to achieve it.

I can't wait for the next one

At last, a breath of fresh air when it comes to advice about selling skills. The most striking message that comes across, loud and clear, in Michael's book, is that selling is not hard - it's not about trying to recall some clever strategy, to hook the prospect into buying from you. The approach is simple, it's about being honest and transparent (naked) and building a relationship based on trust - now there's a novel approach! Great read, a must have in your sales locker.

This book is pragmatic, honest, refreshing and stems from 'real-world' experience.The theme that runs through it and forms its spine is common sense. It doesn't provide amazing revelatory techniques that will change the world, but instead emphasises the importance of doing things well and doing them properly right from the start. I love the pieces about enthusiasm and being happy before being successful. I like to think they personify my approach to work and life.

This is an excellent book focusing on a great new concept with original ideas and theory in support. Whilst primarily focused on a unique approach to sales and business relationships there are many aspects that can be applied to every relationship in our lives. In life, relationships are key to success and the author unlocks the keys to achieving this success. The first principal which focuses on 'Getting Genuinely Curious' is a highlight for me in terms of its logic and the simplicity behind it; what better way to connect with someone that to actually show an interest in what they are doing and what they are trying to achieve?

The book also touches on adding value and this is a very important part of business relationships which is often overlooked in the quest for increased profit and reduced costs, and the book successfully explains the importance of identifying and increasing the value you add to any relationship.

I've read other business and sales related books but the straight forward, step by step process which the author takes you through makes it for a very enjoyable read, the contents of which you can apply right away. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to progress in business buys a copy of this book.

There is so much actionable information in this book, that it really is more of a manual than a book. Make sure you read it with a highlighter in hand!
