Girls don't have the role-models that boys do. As a U-11 girls coach I asked the girls to tell me about their sports heros (soccer or otherwise). Most had none. Pose the same question to eleven-year-old boys, and hear a VERY different answer. This fall we are using it as our team bible. This kind of reading could motivate a young girl for life. It teaches to strive for greatness in all that you do, and all in the conext of a young girl who grows to be a fierce competitor and wonderful person.

I think this is a MUST read for anybody, in soccer or not. It not only gives great tips on how to improve your soccer game, but it shows just how humble a person Mia is. You get all the aspects of her life and career with an open, relaxed feeling. I read this book in less than a day, I couldn't put it down!!

Mia Hamm proves why she's one of the best role models out there for young women. Her book offers instruction on everything from dribbling a soccer ball to adopting the proper winning attitude. Her anecdotes and advice are nothing short of inspirational.
