3.0 out of 5 stars Classic eighties punk at its greatest. 5 Jan 2001
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
Twenty years old and this album still rocks. Some of the Fingers' most expressive, and most experimental stuff is here. Jake Burns' gravelly tones steer through their exploration into reggae (Roots, Radicals, Rockers and Reggae) as the album opens, before belting his way through the vitriol of Just Fade Away, Silver Lining's call to arms, and the burning resentment of Piccadilly Circus. If you want to hear the anthems and the ballads, get Now Then (or Hope Street, with its attached "best of" cd) but if you want to hear what made the Fingers such a huge influence on todays biggest rock bands, such as Green Day and Offspring, Go For It.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favourite SLF album. 22 Jun 2008
Format:Audio CD
In my humble opinion. This was the peak for me after this it was all downhill. The other reviewers have made some of their own points of views clear, I don't agree with some of them, nonetheless i do respect their right to express their view point. However I will say, I love and still hold is album deep in my soul.

Not to take anything away from Jake, Ali and Henry. BUT, LISTEN TO THE DRUMMING ON THIS ALBUM !!!

Jim Reilly really was sadly missed when he moved to America. It was never the same again for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Go For It 11 April 2010
By Stephen
Format:Audio CD
Hopefully you already own Infamable Material and Nobody's Hero and if so then this is the next album you should buy It is has a bit more of a commercial sound than Nobody's hero but not as commercial as their next album Now then.
There are some truly awl-sum tracks on this CD Roots Radicals Rockers & Reggae, Silver Lining and Just Fade Away spring to mind.
