5.0 out of 5 stars Album of 2012? 21 Mar 2013
By Will
Format:MP3 Download|Verified Purchase
If you like Tesseract, Fell Silent or Periphery I guarantee you'll love this. Plenty of clean guitar melody over techy rhythms, and brilliant clean vocals (although the screams are lacking slightly). Plus a guest appearance by Sponce (of Periphery), always welcome in my opinion.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best of the Djents 27 Sep 2013
By amy w - Published on Amazon.com
This is a review from someone who likes djent - I don't get the guys review below who doesn't like Djent but is reviewing a Djent band, lol. Anywho, lots of low end on this album, with lots of groovey djenty songs that really show what the best of this genre is all about. Add melodic singing parts with some power screams and vocally this album is right on par with bands like Tesseract. One of my favorite Prog metal bands - if you like Tesseract or Periphery or Meshuggah or TOOL (which they obviously take influence from), check this out .

I enjoyed the style and overall sound produced on this record...If you are into djenty stuff with metal and clean higher pitched type vokills...then this record will brutalize you!

For fans of: Meshuggah, All That Remains, Botch and lighter Between The Buried and Me!

5.0 out of 5 stars Progressive Progress 3 Feb 2013
By T. Mahler - Published on Amazon.com

This album blew me away in terms of musicianship. The production was amazing. Those of you into Periphery, After The Burial, and Tesseract (Sorry, not into stylizing names) need to listen to this album. What pushed my rating from four to five stars was having Spencer Sotello (the vocalist for Periphery) do guest vocals on one of the tracks. Definitely looking forward to the band's next album.

This is an amazing djent album. Its so heavy and is a great recording of the band. They rock, can't wait to see them live. Cheers,

This turned out to be one of my favorite djent albums of all time. Monuments really sets themselves apart by incorporating elements of pure badass groove into their metal sound.
