4.0 out of 5 stars Better than some supposed classics 28 Oct 2010
Format:Paperback
This is a menage story involving 2 tortured brothers and their object of desire, by a relatively new author that I thought wove a much better story than some "classics" of the genre (I'm looking at you Maya Banks).

I liked all the leads. The brothers were suitably sexy with the "de rigeur" tortured childhood that can only be overcome by sharing a woman (becos erotica authors have convinced us that's the best therapy possible). The heroine, Devi, is an Indian woman who agrees to one wild one night stand never thinking it will develop further.

We get some insight into the family dynamics in an Indian family and particularly the protectiveness that occurs with the youngest (weakest?) members.

Finally - Devi is a chef and the description of the food is mouthwatering.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never read 3-somes, but this was exceptional 4 Dec 2010

I really avoid 3-some books, but the premise of this one was believable to me (not necessarily from her cultural background, but certainly from the twin brothers wanting the same woman and sharing well). The premise made me think the end could work and what woman out there would want the hottest guy in your dreams times 2? The character development was really good - you got to see as things went along the personalities of the characters and how they evolved too, because of the relationship. I liked other books by Alisha Rai so gave it a chance and am so happy I did....would love to see more like this from her!

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing characters! 14 July 2010

Devi is a chef at her parents restaurant. She comes from a strict, old fashioned and tight family and she feels she's the less prettier one out of her and her two sisters. Her older sets her up with Jace, a regular at their restaurant in hopes to get her sister to go out and do something fun for once. But I don't think her sister had any idea what she was setting Devi up for...

Most of the time I tend to avoid threesomes because they either drag on or they start to not make sense, so I was hesitant to read this one. But since I've read other work by this author and LOVED it, I figured to give it a try anyway. And I'm glad I did!

I loved Devi's character, she seemed so real. She's a chef, her house is ALWAYS nice and neat and she hurts just as easily as any other insecure female. I also loved Jace, I loved how sweet he was and how hopeful he was. Oh where can I find a real life Jace?!

If you're looking for a steamy quick read with a few heart melting moments, then I strongly suggest picking this up!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved Devi! 12 Jan 2010

I loved the character development in this story. While the book is not long, it is long enough for you to understand quite a bit about the characters. Devi is an insecure young woman with two older, beautiful and sexy sisters. That Devi is the one that the brothers are interested in shocks her and she believes her sister has set her up. This story is funny, touching and full of quirky sub-characters that round out the story well. I loved it and have read it twice already! I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from this author.
