5.0 out of 5 stars Great recipes for family meals 30 Oct 2009
Format:Paperback
I am constantly looking for recipes that both my kids will enjoy, and there are lots in this book. There are some excellent versions of old favourites like the Chilli con Carne (the boys voted this the best I've ever made), and Chicken and Vegetable Curry (a great way to get lots of vegetables in under the radar). The gluten free versions of fast food like fish fingers, chicken nuggets and pizza are fantastic and so simple to make - better than any 'normal' version I've had. And there are some lovely new ideas - we particularly like the Polenta Chips (and I thought I hated polenta!)and the cheesey snakes are great snacks though difficult to stop eating once you start. I love the Party Food and Sweet Things sections - the wonderful ideas for cakes, biscuits and puddings show that you never need to feel deprived on a gluten free diet (try Dalia's Luscious Lemon Bars, they are superb). This is a great book to use for everyday cooking even if you are not catering for children on a gluten free diet.

5.0 out of 5 stars delicious recipes - and not just for the kids! 26 Aug 2009

Format:Paperback
We have really enjoyed the delicious recipes in this book. We have a coeliac grandparent as well as coeliac friends, so have lots of times when we need to cook gluten-free and this book has given us heaps of inspiration. The meals are suitable for both kids and adults and provide plenty of variety and include ideas from round the world, making it all the more interesting. Highly recommended!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not good for nut allergy.
This book is good and has some great ideas but a lot of the recipes include nuts and as my son has a nut allergy as well as Coeliacs I would not have bought it had I known.
