I have recently started running Pet First Aid Courses in France - as a UK national resident in France for just over 5yrs my grasp of French is day to day and I felt I needed an authoritive and dependable means of translating veterinary terms.
One big problem of living abroad and being a non-native speaker is coping with the specialist language associated with unusual situations - especially if you have to transmit information over the phone.
Using the book I have been able to produce a glossary of terms - dealing with specific injuries, situations, conditions etc to help with being able to accurately describe the cirumstances and effects of illness or accidents to your pet.
The book covers a range of domestic and farm animals and is an invaluable resource to any English speakers in a French speaking country or French speakers in English speaking areas who are involved with animals - domestically or commercially.
