The Glooko IR Adapter is used in conjunction with the Glooko MeterSync Cable (sold separately, also on Amazon.co.uk) to transfer data from ACCU-CHEK® meters into the free Glooko Logbook app.

Say goodbye to manually recording your blood glucose meter readings and say hello to the remarkably easy and convenient Glooko MeterSync Cable and Glooko Logbook app. You'll love the way the Glooko MeterSync Cable downloads readings from your meter and creates an automatic glucose logbook right on your iPhone. With your blood glucose data on your mobile device, blood glucose management is now more accessible and convenient.

The Glooko IR Adapter is compatible with the following meters: ACCU-CHEK® Aviva* (Black), ACCU-CHEK® Aviva Nano, ACCU-CHEK® Compact Plus* (Black) and ACCU-CHEK® Nano.

As long as your meter is compatible, you can download readings from multiple meters to create one cohesive logbook! Not all meters are available in every country where Glooko is sold.

*Please note that the Glooko IR Adapter is only compatible with the newer ACCU-CHEK® Aviva and ACCU-CHEK® Compact Plus models that are black. It is not compatible with the older ACCU-CHEK® Aviva and ACCU-CHEK® Compact Plus models that are blue.

If you think you just buy this adapter and your finished! Your not! You need to buy a separate cable to plug into the adapter, the cable costs £32 and the adapter costs £12. Ridiculous, sending back immediately.

The Glooko IR Adapter works just as advertised. I purchased this to keep records of my blood glucose history, and wanted something that is straight-forward and easy to use. I found the Glooko app for iPhone, and my meter (accucheck nano) needed this adapter in order to communicate with the meter and the iPhone.
The product works perfectly each time, being able to keep track of my blood glucose history on my iPhone so that I can share instantly with my doctor.
The only con would be it's price. It's in a pricey category considering what it does, which is to only sync.
But overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
