Paul Brown has been a well-respected authority on climate change for some time, and is known for his fervour and integrity - with just a dash of dry humour. This book is a shining example of his particular style; unapologetically frank, passionate and engrossing. The different chapters highlight the key issues such as glacier melt and slow political progress with funky titles such as 'We Need Ice' and 'Fiddling While the Globe Burns'. The photographs are truly stunning, and, along with the fresh, modern design, inject a real energy into a debate that requires just that. Above all, I would recommend this book for the final chapter, 'What Can We Do'. I have incorporated so many of the ideas into my own life, such as less water in the kettle, switching off the lights, going for a jumper before putting the heating on... and I'm not embarrassed to say it's put a little extra skip in my step! This is a important and beautiful book - I would recommend it to anyone... and will!!

I am only a fourteen year old and yet this is one of my favourite books I've read. It was so brillantly written that I couldn't put it down (read it in one night and suffered some lack of sleep).
The book deals with many global issues, not just green house gases itself, but animals, population, and natural diesaters. The pictures and text were clearly sending the message, that is to take responsibility for our greedy actions (not trying to preach or anything).
I recommand this book for anyone who are intrested or not in the subject!
