5.0 out of 5 stars Very practical both in terms of its content and its timing, 11 July 2007
This review is from: Global Remix: The Fight for Competitive Advantage (Hardcover)
I read aleast one business mangament book per week and lately my readings were and are trageted in understanding the impact of emerging markets on global market not in just business economy but also socio-cutural-etical aspects. This book really touches on these subjects very well both by giving background information about the drivers but most important of all on practicality in terms of how to deal with it. The process of corporation shaping/model from global to mutinational and to " Global Integrated Enterprise" is very well presented and well-argumented by Prof. Case. The distictive and important role of coporation in communinites on local. regional and global are among the best argumentative writing by the author who not only present the long-term profitability associated with these practices but also bring forward the role model of "responsible and accountable global citizenship". The last chapter on new corporate playlist is well-distilled idea of author toward future scenarios that I personally found it very useful and recommend that any person in charge of firms strategical decision ( CEO, CFO, COO, CTO) use it as a check list during their scenario planning session. Finally, since I am the first viwer with no background information of Prof. Case and his earlier writings, will congratualte him in his fine writing book and hope to see and read more of his writings in future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for classroom debate and company consideration., 3 Feb 2007
By Midwest Book Review - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Global Remix: The Fight for Competitive Advantage (Hardcover)
Communications change are changing not only the nature of the global economy but the very structure of business itself: that's why Global Remix is so important for any corporation or entrepreneur seeking success in such a volatile, changing world market. Both college-level business library holdings and classes debating the issues will want this: it covers a range of issues from developing new future talent and meeting the challenges of an I-pod generation to achieving market success and overcoming consumer distrust of new delivery systems. Perfect for classroom debate and company consideration.
