The Glen GF30TSN 2kW flat fan heater is ideal for spot heating, when instantaneous heat is required. It's thermostatic control and choice of heat settings (including cool air setting) make this product an ideal heating solution for multiple applications, such as bedroom, home office or utility room, plus its compact styling makes the GF30TSN easy to move from room to room as desired, and store away when not in use. The GF30TSN is finished in a neutral white and meets stringent BEAB Intertek safety approvals, plus has a 1 year manufacturers warranty.
Fan heaters are an excellent way of providing heat to cold areas quickly and effectively, and their small footprint makes them perfect for standing on a work surface, shelf or office desk. The most common output is 2kW, however for larger areas 3kW is a better solution. Look out for options such as heat settings to control the amount of energy used, plus a thermostat that can regulate the temperature of the room. Advanced features include climate control with LCD displays that monitor temperature drift more accurately than traditional thermostat models. Many models also have a cool air setting more useful in the summer monthsto help circulate the air.

I wanted a 3 kw fan heater for my conservatory and Which? recommended this one.
I am very pleased with it. It is quiet and throws out a good amount of heat.
It has a thermostatic control and also cold half heat and full heat settings.
It is very light and neat so when not in use it stands up out of the way very nicely.

Amazon Verified Purchase
I had an earlier version of this heater (?) the Dimplex 'Bolero' and decided to replace it with this one, which is very similar in design. If it lasts anywhere near the 19 years the Bolero has lasted I will be more than pleased! The design is similar and the only real electrical difference I can see is, whereas you could switch the Bolero between 1, 2 and 3 kilowatts, on this newer version you can only select 3kW and 'half power' (1.5kW). This presents no problem at all. The new Glen heater is somewhat lighter in weight than its predecessor and a convenient handle moulded into the case make this heater very easy to move around, especially if you haven't too much strength in your hands. It will warm up a room in no time, so even if you don't want it as a main heating source, it will take the chill out of a room in a couple of minutes. I wouldn't be without one of these - and unlike some of the 'competition' it is well-made.

We bought this heater to replace another heater that has been worse than useless to heat our conservatory. This new unit is similar to a much loved Philips that died. This is an excellent unit. The frost setting is at a lower setting than that on the one it replaces so it does not click in every few minutes. The blower is very effective and has rapidly heated our conservatory about 2.9m x 4.3m even during the recent extreme conditions. There is a sufficient range of settings on the thermostat dial to run from frost setting up to "strip off and get into the swim suits". We are very happy and would recommend it to anyone wanting a similar heater of moderate cost but brilliant performance

Absolute rubbish
Even though it has a number of different control settings it automatically switches itself off and on so you have no control whatsoever over the output. Read more

Solid and quite quiet

Good Buy
This is a very good sturdy heater. Watch out when you first use it that you put it down flat and not on the edge. The air intake can be mistaken for the heater outlet.
