Didn't see the film at the cinema or the live concert so this was a first look.

I really enjoyed the film BUT why isn't the full concert released? I presume another Blu Ray/DVD will appear in the fullness of time to get you to buy it again.

Singing quality is awesome for a live concert - sounded like studio quality but I couldn't see evidence of lipsync and a number of singers threw in extra comments to audience members. Shows just how talented they are! Dancing is also excellent - though often you can't see much of it because the cameras focus on the singers more.

The running time for the film is list as about 1 hour 23 minutes but a large chunk of the film is fans chatting, backstage gossip and nonsense - not to say I didn't think those parts added to the film and were worthwhile in themselves (a couple of really moving and inspiration stories) but it cuts down the amount of music. I haven't measured it but I'd guess there is no more than 45-50 minutes of music.

The editing means that it is obvious that large chunks of the concert are simply cut out and many of the songs that are there are abridged (there are two extra copies of songs in the full performance version) which is a little sad.

For this issue - there are two disks in the pack. The Blu Ray constains the standard and 3D editions of the film (can't comment on the 3D because my TV doesn't support it) but the picture and sound quality of the standard Blu Ray version are very good. As for the CD there is a lot of audience noise but as you can seem them it is less intrusive and you do feel you are at a very lively concert. The drawback of the BR having both versions is that the majority of the extras are not present on the BR disk. The second disk is a DVD version including all the extras (a couple of full length songs and some missing footage of various characters talking to the audience and acting out silly/fun bits - including the hilarious Sue Silvester introductions - she doesn't actually appear in the film). There is also a short behind the scenes featurette. The DVD also includes the necessary info for the digital copy - not sure why but this has to be downloaded and for PC use is 1Gb and the server was very slow - very strange.

Also note that the leaflet with the download code for the digital copy says it will not be available indefinitely. So you may find you buy the digital copy and then can't get it - surely this would break the Trades Description Act since the box is clearly labelled and advertised as containing the digital copy and you don't see the warning until you have broken the seal.

My copy the DVD looks a bit scratched and dusty(seems to play OK though) even though it was still securely fastened in the case on arrival.

All in all I enjoyed the film but it would have been better to have the film plus the full concert without interruptions.

One big gripe - not enough Curt!

Ill keep this short.

I actually took my niece to see these guys in concert the day they filmed this and i can tell you absolutely it was one of the best concerts i have ever seen.

Now bear in mind that im a bit of a rock chick and go to donnington park and leeds almost every year that has to tell you something.

My nieces face when she realised where we were on the day was priceless as i didnt tell her where we were going, and i have never seen a kid so excited in my life.

The concert was fantastic, i was happily singing and dancing along with everyone else, and im sure all the little added faux documentary additions will be fab as well.

If you didnt get a chance to go earlier in the year and your little girl/boy is a gleek they will love this.

Perfect christmas pressie for Gleeks everywhere !!

I actually went to the Glee Live concert in London on the 26th June 2011 and words cannot describe how fantastic it is. It obviously doesn't have the real experience rolled into a DVD because being there was fantastic but it's pretty close.

If you love Glee, then you'll love this. It's a movie of the concert, with all my favourite songs. It also has some backstage peeks that you couldn't have experienced throughout the concert. Not only that, but it has a couple interviews of people with real life situations and it describes how Glee has changed their lives. How it's helped.

If your thinking of buying this for yourself or for somebody else who's passionate about Glee, I say go for it. It won't disappoint you. You'll find yourself re-watching it. I wish I could travel back to the concert, but i'll always have this DVD to look back on for the memories.

Disappointing
I thought I'd be getting a video of Glee live performances with maybe a bit of backstage and behind the scenes stuff. All the padding that was put in just disappointed me. Read more

Do not recommend
To show the quality of an audio escelente and has to be priority, but it is not what happens with this Blu-ray 3D Glee, the sound is horrible, muffled, low. Do not recommend!
