Product Description

CD Description

One of the most influential and respected artists this country has produced, Morrissey has been a beacon of light in the world of pop his entire career. His lyrics and music provided a soundtrack to a whole generation, and now to accompany the new `The Very Best Of Morrissey', his timeless song `Glamorous Glue' has been remastered and released as a 7'' single.

Taken from Morrissey's classic album `Your Arsenal', the track was released as a US single in 1992, but was never released in the UK. It's presented here with handpicked, rare photos and supplemented with a previously unheard and unreleased song `Safe, Warm Lancashire Home'. Also available as an enhanced CD single with a previously unheard and unreleased song `Treat Me Like A Human Being', plus the remastered original video to `Glamorous Glue'.

5.0 out of 5 stars One Of My Favourite Morrssey Tracks 18 April 2011
Format:Audio CD
Often overlooked, Glamorous Glue actually has to be one of my favourite Morrissey tracks with its rockier sound and magnificent refrain, this is Morrissey at his best with fabulous lyrics and music combining together. The remastering (by Bill Inglot again) is sympathetic to the original and adds real life to the track. The bonus material includes a previously unreleased demo `Treat Me Like A Human Being', which whilst obviously a song in early stages of creation still shows the tremendous talent of Morrissey. Also included is the remastered video to Glamorous Glue, I imagine many people will already own the original, but it is nice to have it here in its remastered form. Overall another nice item for fans/collectors, which is worth buying for the demo alone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Glued for Life 17 May 2011
By mozstar
Format:Audio CD
The single is a fine slice of 3 minute modern Glamour rock, forewarning the rise of Americanism to English shores. Play it loud, get hooked to moz`s wit & music. It may be a poor money making reissue by EMI, but at least Moz has a hand in the artwork, and music selection.

Nice track for a lonesome sconer, but why did they drap it on vinyl? To be finishing ok. For the rich ones take LOLLI-POPPS.

1.0 out of 5 stars Where's the tacky badge?? 22 April 2011
Format:Audio CD
Reissued and repackaged: rabble-rousing Moz track from the National Front-flirting days.

Another song re-evaluated; another extra track; another rise in the level of money tumbling into the cavern measureless to man which Stephen shares with the Vatican bank and the Saxe-Goethe-Coburgs.

But where's the badge, Moz? Come on, you've been promising one since "Strangeways..." - so what's the problem, do you think it would represent the final sell-out? Because, we're actually kinda there already. We were kinda there ten years ago.

How many 'best of' CDs is that now? Perhaps you'll release another one, just in time for your gig as U2's warm-up act at Glastonbury.

You're making a fool of yourself; please get off the stage.
