If you've never seen Gladiators or don't know what it's about, then basically each week 2 men and 2 women take on the Gladiators, a team of ultra-fit athletes, in a series of physically demanding games. At the end, the the contestants face each other on the eliminator, their start-time determined by the number of points they've accrued during the games.

This is obviously like the other Gladiators videos, but this tape includes 'all the best action from heats 3, 4 and 5 of the 1993 series'. That would be Season 2. Currently season 1-3 are not being shown on any satellite, cable or terrestrial channel (though you can watch Season 4-8 on Virgin and Challenge).

I remember the Glads from when I was a kid and I used to love watching it... so watching it all again has been a bit of a nostalgia trip for me! It's geniunely quite interesting and exciting. And from a sporting point of view, or as someone who is interesting in bodybuilding or weightlifting, the Glads and the contestants are great role models. I would definitely recommend this to parents who want something fun and exercise-encouraging for their kids to watch. Or any adult who likes to revel in the past and have a good old chuckle at Wolf's antics...

Though I would mention that often the 'two free posters' aren't included as they've usually been put on someone's wall long, long ago!
