Format:Audio CD
This wonderful CD from the always pleasing Anita Baker is soulful, yet easy to listen to, her deep, lush voice backed by a smooth production that makes this simply the best. So good is the flow of this album you could call it 'The Best Of Anita'. There were a couple of smooth jazz favorites on this one and it's the kind of CD you can just pop in and forget about it. You won't be skipping around on this one.
The most familiar song will be "Giving You the Best That I Got," it's piano background and easy flow a staple of Anita's. It's a long song that we wish could be longer, so easy is it to listen to. "Just Because" is the other familiar song, since it received so much airplay, and deservedly so. But there is much more here to recommend it.

"Rules" and "Good Enough" offer some terrific moments of smooth soul, Anita style. "Good Love" is light and romantic and is another one that will sound familiar to anyone who has listened to radio in the last decade. "Priceless" starts this CD and it could easily have been the title of this effort. My personal favorite is "Lead Me Into Love," a song you just have to hear to appreciate.
This is a perfect CD for those times when you have to many tasks and not enough time. Just put this one on and it will relax you and make the flow of what your doing seem as easy as pie. This is like a gentle brook washing over rocks smoothed by the hands of time.
This is soothing and graceful soul, a rare gem, a water sapphire to treasure. You'll listen to this over and over and come to love the tranquil waters of Anita Baker.

Songs to listen to over and over again and still be excited about. Very enjoyable CD. Great voice and great songs which take you on an amazing journey. I highly recommend this album.

I never thought on the follow up to the incredible success 'Rapture' that Ms.Baker would ever again be able to give us the same quality, but she has, she's followed the same winning formula, deep throated vocals with deep sensuous romantic songs, however on this album it feels more chilled out rather than too heavy. I would say the songs i liked the most were 'Good Love', very deep very romantic very Anita, 'Rules' it reminds me of 'Watch Your Step' from 'Rapture' because it's slightly more upbeat, 'Priceless' again it's a really plesent moderately upbeat number, 'Lead Me Into Love' a slow jam, romantic and soft, excellent song, 'Good Enough' very classy attempt from Anita as always, and 'Just Because' a very easy going number that's also very catchy.
Please don't think that just because this album didn't have the same commercial success, that it's not as good as 'Rapture' it's just more chilled out, i would say it's a definite must have for any Anita Baker fan.
