Book Description

School is back in session.

History grad James Sheridan thinks his biggest problem in life is trying to find a suitable outfit for his upcoming Ph.D. candidacy exam. That is, until he accidentally texts a changing-room selfie meant for his fashionable sister to his ex, the domineering Professor Carson.

James and Carson haven’t seen each since James fled their power games two years ago. Back in his undergrad days, Carson was his Professor, and not just in the academic sense: a man of unusual tastes and extreme sexual demands, James had been happy to sate Carson’s savage appetites. Too happy, in fact. He never could trust himself not to let Carson push too far.

Now James is older and wiser, and sharing some seriously flirtatious vibes with a cute menswear rep. When Carson replies to James’s errant text, ready to pick up where they left off, James can’t help being drawn back into Carson’s control. It’s only when Carson suggests involving the salesman that James has to ask himself how far is too far, and whether he’s willing to go there with Carson again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Steamy as heck! 16 Mar. 2014

Wow. When I started reading this book, I thought it would be just another skin-flick, but as page after page progressed, I realised I couldn't have been more wrong. This has to be, hands down, the best m/m erotic fiction I've ever read.

The development of James's encounter with Satish, the gradual shift of James's dependence on Carson's dominance to a position of more assertiveness, and his decision to deviate from Carson's instructions and forge something deeper with Satish...all brilliantly paced and presented. And the sex...simply fantastic.

I'm very intrigued as to how the relationships in the story will develop. As yet, Carson is still a disembodied presence via text message, so it'll be interesting to finally get a physical sense of him, and see and how he'll take James's 'rebellion'.

Kudos to Ms Belleau & Ms Gormley for a fascinating read. Looking forward to the next books in the series!

5.0 out of 5 stars And Taking a Mile 21 Jun. 2013
By The Kimi-Chan Experience VINE VOICE
Format:Kindle Edition
James Sheridan is all keyed up. He has to make a pitch for his PHd candidacy in history, and this requires a suit. Once actually at the department store, he finds himself in a dilemma. When a flirtatious sales assistant helps him select several to try on, he still finds he has trouble deciding which one is best. Using his phone to take a photo of himself and then texting it to his fashion conscious sister seems the ideal solution. That is, until he gets the reply and discovers that he has sent it to his ex instead.

His ex takes that as an opportunity to step straight back into where they left off, and despite having broken things off with the handsome professor due to his lack of being to give up complete control to the very dominant man, carson finds himself responding in kind. now older and more mature, James seems ready to better wrap his head (pun intended) around the dynamics of their former relationship. What starts off as search for the right suit with the help of the flirty sales rep ends up with some down and dirty help getting off in changing room. The sales rep ends up with a satisfying day in more ways than one, and james finds that giving that inch to the professor may be just what he needs after all.

I found James to be a deeply conflicted young man deeply in need of direction, and the inability to make up his mind over the suit beautifully showcased that. It brought up his inner musings over his former relationship into sharp perspective and allowed me to see just how much of a compass he really needed.
