However, here he focuses on the jazz trio as he leads Red Mitchell (bass) and Frank Capp (drums) on a programme of showtunes. Originally released in 1960, this album features material not usually given the jazz treatment, but Andre does it exceptionally well, as you would expect.

Great Previn

I bought this album many years ago and just about wore the vinyl out playing it. If you like Previn on the Piano, you MUST have this album. It's a shame he quit performing/doing this style (Jazz) music and went to being a conductor. I know, I know. A conductor has a hard job, but his genius on the "88" is without equal.
Just so you'll know my Jazz piano tastes, they include Ahmad Jamal (1960's style), Peter Nero, Oscar Peterson, Dave Brubeck, and Errol Garner. that's not all, but just a few. Previn is the tops.

I was sorely disappointed in this recording

After trying to listen to the recording, we decided we were very sorry we had wasted the money on it. In fact, we will probably donate it to for thrift store. I love the music on the recording; I am very disappointed in the musicians and their arrangement.
