What can I say, everyone should buy this CD. I had pretty high expectations, and I was so pleased when they were matched after 'It All Comes Down To This'. Bane stick to the same style as their last two releases, so eloquent and smooth, yet so brutal and emotional. Aaron's growl is just amazing. I was a little worried that they may have watered down their sound and contained a few more soft emo parts... but no, they havn't budged from that awesome sound of 'It All Comes..'. Highlights include a fan tribute i.e 'Speechless'.. and other articulate and beautifully crafted songs such as the 'Sunflowers & Sunsets' and 'Ante Up'. Another track worth mentioning, 'The Big Gundown' starts off so delicately and then explodes into a plethora of crunchy bass and thundering drums... sublime. Aaron's voice is just so good, I can't say it enough.

Give Everything 23 Dec 2003
Format:Audio CD
I was pretty much bored of hardcore and began exploring other music. Still I always kept an ear to the ground and then I heard about the new Bane album, I had only heard a few Bane tracks namely 'Can We Start Again' but It didnt give me goosebumps so I wasnt really expecting anything from 'Give Blood'. Still I got it and really I thought it sucked - in a horrible way as well, but bit by bit words and melodies began to stick in my head, first I only liked one song but soon it snowballed and at this point I am just hoping I dont have to wait years before they have another release. If you like hardcore or heavy music you should get this, if your growing out of Linkin Park or Korn you should get this, if you just gor divorsed you should get this. Get it - everyone should really own this, my bestest album of the year - no contest.

A modern Hardcore Classic 30 May 2006

I myself first became aquainted with Bane with album "The Note", which might I add is a killer album. After buying that and loving it I bought this masterpiece of a Hardcore album. I had to listen to it a few times before I apreciated the true beauty of this album. With Bane your getting Hardcore at it's finest, not metalcore. Lots of gang vocals and positive lyrics, it's not to fast, really heavy, or full of huge breakdowns, it's just really good hardcore.

Priceless 14 July 2004

Never have I been inspired by an album like this. First, if you don't like old school hardcore, then you shouldn't be reviewing this anyway. THe album is an awesome blend of old school a new styles. Couldn't have been done better. Ali vs. Fraiser is the most inspirational song of our time. Amazing.

Give it more (chances!) 5 Oct 2002

It's Bane. It's the return of positive hardcore. In the wake of the metal-emo flood, and riding the crest of the inevitable backlash wave, is Bane from Massachussetts. Complete with numerous singalongs, pile-ons, plenty of opportunities to wave your finger in the air, and even a bit of no-apologies mosh parts thrown in, Give Blood is the next natural step for Bane. What I don't quite understand is the nearly across-the-board panning of this album by Bane fans - particularly when compared with their first outing, "Holding This Moment" (a collection of 7inches and such). The fact of the matter is, there is very little stylistic change from that album to Give Blood. The music - particularly the guitars - is a little thicker and layered. That's it. Everything else remains the same. So if you like Holding This Moment and haven't yet heard Give Blood, don't listen to the words around you. Give this record a good solid try. It won't disappoint. In fact, it just might become your favorite.
