...to try and encourage her to boldly go where no woman has gone before and to get her to see that, with a will to do it, anything is possible.

It is exactly what it says - a book full of interesting stories and fact about women doing great things and taking the lead where you'd traditionally find a man in the driving seat.

Cracking book to inspire a young girl/woman to great things.

Was hoping this would have things my daughter would be wowed by and admire. But it had cookies and scotchguard among other really munsane things. Did we really invent nothing better than that? Like the idea but poorly delivered.

I was excited by the book but slightly disappointed once it arrived. Nice graphics and drawings but not a fan of the design of the layout and too many fonts were used. Drawings very nice but internal layout looks very busy. A lot of text to read so consider who you are buying it for. Aimed probably at 11-12 year olds or older. Women chosen are mostly American and I would have been happier if there were some internationally known women. This book I ordered after ordering same book once already. First bookshop was slow with delivery so I ordered here. At the end I didn't give the book as a gift as it seemed not great. Now I have two but still haven't read it.

Arrived in time and in perfect condition
Really inspired my step daughter - who went on to 'invent' a cranberry and chocolate biscuit!

I bought this to read with my daughter who is currently into science. She does like listening to this book but will not read it herself, maybe she is too young for it (8).
