Before you purchase this DVD, read the title carefully, 'Tom Jones Presents Girls Night Out'. This DVD is simply a collection of 12 clips from the Tom Jones show, highlighting some of the female singers that appeared on that show. Except for one song, 'I love the Nightlife' with Chaka Khan, Tom Jones does not perform any of the songs. There are some brief moments of Tom introducing the singers, talking with them, but that's it.
In addition, 'I love the Nightlife', the one song Tom Jones duets with Chaka Khan, is already on the other DVD 'Tom Jones and Friends Live'; save your money for that one. So unless you're into the voice of Tina Turner (one song, a forgettable rendition of 'Pain'), Gladys Knight, Cybill Shepherd(definitely the low point of the DVD), or some other no-name singers, pass on this one. And if you happen to get this as a gift, remember to ask for the receipt and where they bought it :-)
