Product Description

CD Description

Mötley Crüe are re -releasing a limited quantity of their catalogue, having regained the rights to all their songs, after a long absence in the market place. The Crue's fourth album was released on May 15, 1987. The record features a more blues-influenced sound than their previous albums and contains the hits "Wild Side" and "Girls, Girls, Girls". The record also reflects the band's hard-living lifestyle, and pays homage to their love of riding fast, large motorcycles, drinking whisky, and spending long nights at strip clubs. This standard jewel case edition comes complete with a 10-page booklet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Six killer tracks, two fillers 3 Aug 2012
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
Not counting the bonus track (a live cover of Elvis's Jailhouse Rock), Girls Girls Girls is a nine track album, with eight solid killer tracks and only one filler. The album starts out strongly, with two Motley classics Wild Side and the title track. Things go off the boil a little, with the rather throwaway Bad Boy Boogie - not a bad track by any means, but probably the weakest of a the bunch.

The last four tracks on the album more than make up for a shakey middle half. All In The Name Of Rock does exactly what it says on the tin and is reminiscent of those early anthemic AC/DC rockers. Brilliant track. Five Years Dead and Sumthin For Nuthin both have killer riffs and rock along for well over five minutes. The final track You're All I Need is amongst Motley's greatest ballads, a beautiful piano-laden song which is similar to Time For Change from Dr Feelgood, although it's probably aged better.

Overall, it is probably one of the most consistant Motley albums alongside Dr Feelgood and Too Fast For Love, and there are a handful of songs which hold up amongst their all-time strongest work, so I'd definately say this album is an essential purchase for any serious Motley fan.
