Joanna Sandsmark is a gifted writer who really does understand the very special relationship we women have with our dogs. The stories she tells are exceptionally clever, entertaining and engaging. As if that's not enough, the book is filled with vintage color pictures from the archives of the The Illustrated London News, and they are nothing less than fantastic. This is a wonderful book to give to any woman you know who loves dogs.

Combined with the wonderful illustrations and Joanna Sandsmark's delightful storytelling and unique insight into the lives of women and their dogs, this book is an enjoyable read for both dog and non-dog owners alike. Women. who have owned dogs, will be nodding in agreement and reminiscing about special companions who have shared their lives. Those who haven't had this experience. may be persuaded to take the leap and discover a new loyal and devoted friend, they never imagined they would have. I truly loved this book!!!!
