I've only recently become a Girls Aloud fan hence I missed Off The Record when it was showing on tv, but I'm really glad I've got it on dvd as I can watch it as much as I like. Gives an really interesting insight into what goes on in a pop band's life, and of course we get to know what the girls are really like behind closed doors. Nadine mentions at the end that apparently none of them have been portrayed as themselves, makes you wonder the wild antics they really get into! Looking forward to Cheryl and Ashley Cole's version of newly weds documentary, I'll be straight in the queue to buy that :) Overall definately worth the money, good viewing even if you're not a fan as many of my friends enjoyed it too.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this is actually a really well put together documentary series. Gives you a great insight into the behind-the-scenes workings of a pop band, and how the marketing machines work.

At the same time the girls all come across as very grounded, intelligent individuals.

Cheryl is hilarous, and its probably worth buying just to see her toiling up the cobbled hills in Greece alone! Oh, and the time she gets drunk with Nadine... superb stuff!! and the point where the dog wees on her... she's a legend lol

But i'd be lying if the bikini shots of the girls round the various pools werent part of the appeal too of course ;-)

When the TV show was on in April and May 2006, I stayed up late to watch it. Now that I own the DVD, I can watch the show whenever I like.

The documentary is interesting because the girls have numerous TV appearances, spend quality time with their nearest and dearest and get to travel the world. Cheryl's nephews and Nicola's brothers are cute, Ashley Cole is handsome and the girls are gorgeous, especially Cheryl (she's the best).

The swearing let me down and I thought the outtakes from the Girls Aloud offical website would be on the DVD, but they're not. I still find the unseen episode worth a watch though.

Overall, I give this DVD a 4/5 rating.

Girls Aloud: Off the Record is a six-part documentary series that originally aired on E4. The cameras follow Nadine, Nicola, Sarah, Cheryl and Kimberly from the release of their 12th hit single, "Whole Lotta History" running up to their first ever arena tour for the "Chemistry" album.
I would recommend this DVD to any Girls Aloud fan. The series gives a great insight into the proffesional and personal lives of the girls, and what goes on behind the scenes. Also, it's a fun DVD to watch. Whether at home or abroad these girls just want to have fun. This leads to Nadine getting freaked out by a Kawala Bear, Cheryl getting "spew up me trouser'", and Sarah sending a Ferrari into the back of their tour manager's crew bus.
This is a deleted title. This means that they're not making any more copies, so you can only get it preowned. Even then it's very rare and likely to be expensive.

Oh my god, this has to be the best TV programme ever invented! I am the biggest fan ever of Girls Aloud and when I heard that they were doing a documentary I was really excited as I love watching behind the scenes stuff featuring them as they are all really funny and seem really friendly, the kind of girls you know you could easily get on with in real life! The documentary did not disappoint and Tuesday evenings were the highlight of my week for six weeks seeing what really goes on in the lives of the nations biggest ever pop band! I really encourage you to buy this DVD and support Girls Aloud in every way possible as they are just amazing and even if you are not a fan I can guarantee you will love this great DVD!

AS A GIRLS ALOUD FAN I WATCHED THIS IN E4 AND WONDERED IF IT WAS RELEASED ON DVD. AFTER WAITING LONG ENOUGH FOR THE PRICE TO DROP I BOUGHT FOR UNDER A FIVER AND WAS WORTH IT. I HAVE TO ADMIT I LIKE CHERYL BUT SHE DOESN'T HALF COMPLAIN A LOT (BEING A TYPICAL NORTHEASTERNER) AND THE CAMERAS SEEM TO FOCUS MORE ON HER, BUT THE OTHER GIRLS ARE FUN TO SEE TOO. NICOLA IS A LAUGH WHEN SHE'S HAD A FEW AND THE EPISODES ARE ALL GOOD TO SEE AGAIN AND AGAIN.

This is an amazing and rare collectors item and a must have for any Girls Aloud fan.

If you get the opportunity to buy this DVD for £30 or less, make sure you do as it is very rare.

The DVD follows the Girls around just as they were becoming famous, and you see them as they really are without any protection from PR people. It is a fascinating insight into their early career.

An excellent DVD giving a great insight into the girls lives in and around 'the job' - as they refer to it, plus good footage of home visits and personal stuff. A must for all GA fans.
