Synopsis
A Persian Folk Tale About Uncovering Life's Hidden Beauty; The Girl who Lost her Smile, inspired by one of the tales by legendary poet and story teller Jallal al-Din Rumi, is set in the wondrous city of Baghdad, where there lives a young girl called Jehan, whose smile makes the sun shine and the stars sparkle. One morning she wakes to discover that her smile has gone. She looks everywhere but to no avail. Jugglers and fire-eaters come to entertain her. Artists from all over the world paint murals on the walls of her room, but still she cannot find her smile. Finally, it is left to a young boy with nothing more than a simple wooden scraper to restore her smile, and the sun, to Baghdad.
