1.0 out of 5 stars very disappointing, 24 Sep 2007

This was bought for my daughters 8th birthday, at her request (having seen the advert.) The voice recognition just does not work - at all. It is currently collecting dust in her little brothers room. I would advise anyone thinking of buying one, not to.

1.0 out of 5 stars This toy sucks!, 8 Sep 2007

We were so excited about getting this toy, but we have been very disappointed. It has dreadfully poor voice recognition technology and so 9.5 times out of 10 it will not recognise the commands. Once locked it has no override mechanism and so for the large majority of the time stays a locked, inpenetrable, unusable hunk of plastic. If you are looking to have the words "Oops , please begin again" "intruder - nee-naw-nee-naw-nee naw!" echoing through your house all day, go for it! This is certain to contribute to new out-breaks of "toy rage". Utter rubbish! Avoid at all costs.

1.0 out of 5 stars UTTER, UTTER RUBBISH, 25 Jun 2007

My Daughter has just purchase one of these having spend many weeks saving for it. My Wife was unable to set the time or date as it simply would not recognise what she was saying - this was not helped by her eventually shouting at it. To prove her wrong I decided to have a go. An hour later I had had no success. Whilst determined not to let a child's toy induce stress in me, I could not help experiencing a compelling urge to smash it to pieces. Despite my cool exterior my Daughter was unsuprisingly devasted by the whole experience. I have just searched for forums on Google and have found much of the same comments. Save your children the anguish and leave well alone!!
