Product Description

Product Description

An adorable interactive friend your daughter will love. This dynamic dancing pet plays games, "sings" songs, performs tricks, and responds to commands for tonnes of nurturing fun.

Interactive Pet Will Be Your Daughter's New BFF

Girls will love the nurturing play of Fijit Friends Yippits, the newest members of the Fijit Friends family. Scooch is a delightful, dynamic friend who can "sing", dance, light up and perform tricks--the more you play with her, the better she responds. More nurturing from girls leads to greater consistency in her performance just like a real pet. And also like a real pet Scooch enjoys playing lots of fun games.

Your Yippit Responds to Commands

An innovative clap sensor allows Scooch to understand commands so she can engage in responsive fun through three modes of play: Dancing, Training and Game. Clap once and Scooch sits; clap twice and she spins in a circle. Three claps inspire singing and dancing, while four send her begging and five have her doing pushups. If Scooch completes a trick successfully, give her a well-earned reward with the push of a button.

Exciting Play with Lights and Sounds

Your adorable Yippits pet has an animated face with light-up eyes and mouth as well as lifelike moving legs. Scooch can bark, growl, dance and sing--she performs three cute songs, including her unique version of the Fijit Friends theme "I Love to Dance."

Expand the Fun with All the Yippits

Collect all the colourful Yippits pets (sold separately), including light-green Skippa, pink Patter and purple Plooki. Watch them communicate and dance together for hours of interactive fun. Plus Yippits unlock exclusive content pre-programmed into your Fijit Friends (sold separately) by emitting a special sonic chirp--for even more surprising playtime.

I bought this for my 6 year-old daughter (for £10) as a complete surprise and she was very excited when it arrived. A good first impression then.

It comes with batteries and so works straight out of the box. Have had it for a couple of weeks now and the batteries have yet to run out.

It effectively has two modes which I'll call "pet" and "game" mode.

When in pet mode it will bark and whine sort of like a dog whenever one of the buttons is present. It will also launch into a jaunty tune on occasion. If you clap your hands a couple of feet from it, it will perform a trick. It can do five different things and the idea is that you if you clap once it should sit, twice it should spin around, three times and it should beg etc. The catch is it doesn't always do the correct trick and so when it does you "reward" it by pressing one of the buttons. After a while it will have been trained to perform the correct trick. (This will need some parental help initially if your child is unable to read because they won't know which trick corresponds to which number of claps.)

Game mode is simply a Simon says style game whereby you press the left button if its left eye lights up, the right button if its right eye lights up, both buttons if both eyes light up and you clap if its mouth lights up. My daughter quite enjoys this.

The only drawback is that it is quite loud and it doesn't have a volume control. However, as its all fairly simple to use, your child is unlikely to play with it non-stop after the initial excitement has died down. My daughter has played with it for at least a short while most days so far, though.

We only have one for now so I can't comment on how it interacts with the other toys in the range.

Overall this is cracking value for just £10 - although I would certainly not pay anywhere near full price for it.

This is quite a good toy. I played with it a lot but i can't go on to games mode. I tried loads of times and... no success. I would really like to go on games mode so it upset my a lot. You soon get bored of it but it happens with every toy, but it's really nice now and then. Apart from that, good value.

very sweet and good for occupying the little ones for a while, thought my daughter whose birthday this was for is 4 and she struggles with the training of this thing, but then again, this is aimed at a slightly older child. All -in-all, thumbs up.
