This is a fine and unusually substantial record for a film soundtrack, with no repetitiveness or flab anywhere. It is compelling and rewarding all the way through, full of inspired derivatives of the 60s, with harpsicord, flute, Hammond organ etc. There is lots of variety including a striking spooky piece which Les Reed, who composed all this, was not involved with. The record is very satisfying and I would say it is an essential 60s soundtrack. Jimmy Page was apparently involved. Partly jazz, partly rock music, partly "light" music, but it's spot on. As for the film, I liked the crepuscular light scenes.
