Excellent read an thoroughly enjoyed the book. The Donovan Creed novels are a 'must' if you like crime/thriller and a little tongue in cheek. John Locke delivers time after time and can't get enough of the action and adventure of the roguish Donovan and the twisted plots.Creative and gripping plots keeps you gripped to the end.

The 6th installment in the Donovan Creed series. 'A Girl Like You' is witty from the off and fast-paced. Creed is an ex CIA hired assassin who has many sides, some of which are pretty undesirable, but his character is extremely likeable. In this book, the story follows on about Rachel, his psychotic girlfriend, and re-introduces her husband Sam, in a twisting plot with many turns.

Whilst you don't need to have read the previous Creed novels, it is recommended as the characters from the other books deepen over time, and you feel a warmth and familiarity with them.

Overall, this is yet another Creed page-turning crime thriller that can be read in a few dedicated hours. I love John Locke's writing style, and this book doesn't disappoint. His latest 7th book 'Vegas Moon' has just been released, so this is my next read.

Well done again, John! :)

I bought this to see what John Locke was talking about in his excellent book 'How I sold 1 Million...'; after all I thought - it's only 71 pence. From what he said in his How I sold... book I didn't expect much since he described himself as 'not even a good author'. He's wrong! This novel was pure fun. Amazing value for the price and anyone who can delight his readers like this is in my view an excellent author.

There are a few science errors but you won't notice them unless you've got a good understanding of DNA and they don't detract from the story. The hero is in best 'James Bond' style. The sort of guy most of us would like to be. Eminently likable.

If you like action/adventure/thrillers - go for it. After all it's 'only 71 pence.'

This one seemed a bit contrived - and I began to see past the story to the underlying business model. It was a bit like that point when it is clear that your favourite band obviously produce something because they have to rather than because they want to. All the elements you like are there - it is just that somehow the story seemed to lack something. I'm not sure what. I will undoubtedly buy more of Mr Locke's products - but he needs to want to write them. Maybe one of us was having an off day...

After the last couple of books I really enjoyed this one as the book featured the main character from the start and was actually about him.

He hasn't mentioned Rachel for a bit and I wondered what happened to her - it seems Creed is getting fed up with her so its not surprising she was kidnapped and ended up in a goverment facility!

Fun to read and lots of engagement with the characters. So far, always motivated to read more. Really enjoy the difference of this series, it's not like anything I've ever read before.

Having read all the Creed books and now reviewing them this one escapes me so it couldn't have been that interesting. It introduces some characters from before and the story starts to get more far fetched than previously. However it's another Creed must read and strangely addictive.
