4.0 out of 5 stars CATS WILL BE CATS 5 Sep 2010
By Gail Cooke TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Hardcover
Who could resist Ginger, the title character or the book? Ginger is a contented cat. She has a nice home, a thoughtful little girl who takes care of her and the small kitten who lives with them.

Both felines especially look forward to breakfast, but one morning they were surprised to see someone watching them through the window. "I wonder who that is, said the little girl, but nobody knew."

Now this wasn't just an ordinary cat looking through the window, but a very audacious one. It wasn't long before the unknown visitor was found in the kitchen licking out Ginger and the kitten's bowls. As if that weren't intrusion enough he even found a comfortable spot for himself on the bed.

The little girl decided the solution was to tie a note around his neck reading "Do I belong to anyone?" That turned out to be a very good idea as the note was answered.

Young readers will be surprised to discover the identity of the visitor and just how clever he can be.

Charlotte Voake has written and illustrated two other books about Ginger and the kitten - all are recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars We love Ginger! 24 Oct 2012

Ginger finds a home is my grandson's (and mine) favorite book! We read it every week when he spends the night with me. It is such a simple book with no clutter on the pages, yet the artist captures every expression that Ginger makes with a simple watercolor drawing. I knew we simply HAD to have more Ginger books and this one is just as cute. I highly recommend this book.
5.0 out of 5 stars I love the Ginger series! 18 Sep 2012

These books are cute and keep my nieces entertained. When I showed my nieces that I had got the 2nd and 3rd books to the series they were excited. And are very eager to have them read to them, but I'm waiting until I have both girls at the same time so they can enjoy them together. Personally, I've read them all and have to say I'm very pleased with them. These books are beautifully illustrated and well written. I highly recommend these books to anyone that has kids that love books and any adult who is kid at heart. I promise you won't regret buying them.
5.0 out of 5 stars A delightful cat story that contains a hidden moral or two that even a child of 6 can figure out in time 21 Oct 2010
By Midwest Book Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Library Binding
"Ginger and the Mystery Visitor" is a sensitively illustrated story about a big yellow cat named Ginger and a small gray kitten who both belong to a little girl (who takes very good care of them). One day during breakfast, Ginger and the kitten notice another cat is watching them through the window. He is a large gray cat and he eventually helps to lick out their bowls after they finish their food! Though the strange visiting cat sometimes sleeps there and always checks the food bowl, he never stays long. The little girl wonders about his owner, so one day she ties a note to his collar saying"Do I belong to anyone?" Surprisingly enough the answer came in the form of a green note tied to the strange cat's collar, saying;"My name is Tiddles. I have a loving home and two square meals a day. Please do not feed me as I am getting rather fat." "Ginger and the Mystery Visitor" is a delightful cat story that contains a hidden moral or two that even a child of 6 can figure out in time.
