Season 3 was by far the most entertaining and well-rounded season in the shows history (so far at least, with the 7th season forthcoming). This season captured and brought out in the best of ways all the little traits that make this show what it is.

Almost all the episodes of this season can be described as "classics", from the amazing premiere to the fulfilling finale. Although it is hard to play favourites with this season, stand alone episodes include:

-They Shoot Gilmores, Don't They? (the series 50th episode celebrated in a very special -Stars Hollow- kind of way)

-Dear Emily and Richard (a bittersweet look in the Gilmores family past)

-Those Are Strings, Pinocchio (a very moving episode that concludes Rory's high school years and sets new standards in the Gilmore universe with Rory having to move out of the house and into Yale)

The fast-paced dialogue is more entertaining than ever, the references to everything pop culture are there and the supporting characters (Liza Weil as Paris is plain exceptional) and the eccentric town folks (Babette, Miss Patty etc you get the picture) surround the Girls only to elevate the show to a new level of brilliance.

The writing is -as usual- unique and witty (a Gilmore trademark) and the actors performances are stellar. Especially Lauren Graham and Kelly Bishop are exceptional in their respective parts as Lorelai and Emily, portrayals that are certainly Emmy worthy (shame on the Academy for ignoring such strong acting).

All in all, a must buy for anyone who likes those whacky Gilmores! The extras on this set are just the icing on the cake, as the episodes themselves make for great fun. Enjoy the girls at their finest moments!

This is one of those shows that you don't hear of unless yuou're sat watching E4 during the day - which admittedly most people don't. It definitely deserves more publicitity and recognition for the great show that it is. I found myself rushing back from lectures so not to miss the show and so decided to buy them all on dvd. They were well worth the money - in fact a total bargain for the quality of the show.

If you are looking for a new show to get into I would definitely recommend gilmore girls. Make sure you have a lot of free time though because once you start watching it you won't want to stop!

Gilmore Girls is great, from the first episode I watched on E4, I couldn't tear myself away. All round brilliant, the mother/daughter chemistry between the two (Lauren Graham & Alexis Bledel) is uncanny, they both perfectly suit the roles they play! After I'd started watching it daily, my mam started to, and she also loved it. I have bought her the first 3 series' for Christmas and her birthday so far, the rest will follow! Would highly recommend, great viewing!

Following on from the first two seasons of Gilmore Girls, this boxset contains all 22 episodes of season three. It sees Rory in her final year graduating from Chilton, looking for a university place and going through the trials of dating Jess (Milo Ventimiglia). Lorelai continues with her troubled love live and finally looks set to open her own hotel. Her parents continue to manipulate their lives even more.

If you enjoyed the first two seasons then this builds and improves on those so you will certainly enjoy this. Highly recommended.

Possibly one of my favourite seasons of this program. Like the back of the DVD boxset says, there's more fun, more flames, more flameouts and more Gilmore. It's great. It's more witty, more sarcastic, and although there isn't much action, it's still very engaging and interesting. There's a lot of change, Rory graduates from school, and waits for college acceptance letters, whilst having to chose between Dean or Jess. Lorelai's love life takes some suprising turns, Lane starts to come out of her shell a little as she finally meets Mr. Right, Sookie has a nice suprise and so does the Independence Inn that Lorelai and Sookie work at. You won't be disappointed to watch as the lives of Lorelai, Rory and the others, unravel on the screen in suprising new directions. My daughter and I watch Gilmore Girls together some nights, and we're nothing like Lorelai and Rory but it's always fun to watch. The Boxset was in perfect condition when it arrived, and it has some fun bonus material, including 'Revealing Cast Documentary: All Grown Up: Stories of childhood experiences'. In which members of the cast share some of their childhood memories with the audience, it's nice to get an insight into the actor's lives. Another good extra on the DVD is 'Who wants to fall in love? season's most romantic moments', which is basically just a clip of the seasons most romantic little moments joined together, it's very sweet. It really is a great buy, and if you love the series you won't be disappointed in buying it! I strongly recommend that you do :D

Love it! As with all Gilmore Girls. I can't get enough. It is primarily very girly, and feel good viewing, and can make me smile even when i'm having a bad day. Can't wait for series 6 & 7 to become available

Escape to Star's Hollow and enjoy the gentle ups and downs of attractive, engaging characters. Does not tax the brain but is witty and enjoyable.
