I have been shaving for a very long time, and have a very tough beard. When I heard about the latest Gillette 5-blade razor, I was initially very sceptical. I had in fact been using Fusion power blades for a long time so didn't actually expect much difference. But, I was wrong. The new ProGlide is better in a number of ways. First of all, the new razor handle is much improved and lighter. It has been subtly changed so that the power switch cannot be accidentally switched off in use, making for a more reliable shave. Second, the blades are noticeably thinner and thus give a much more comfortable shave even on those parts of the face where stubble grows in different directions. And, the rear trimmer is narrower and sharper allowingh easier access to the awkward bits of growth, under the nostrils for example.
I have now been using the new blades for over three months and would not want to change back. Shaving is more comfortable, quicker and also results in far fewer shaving cuts.
My only gripe is that the new blades are so expensive. SO, I was pleasantly surprised that the blades are so much cheaper on Amazon than in any other high street store.

I tried these because I needed a new razor, always up for new gadgets, and liked the old Fusion power version I owned which suddenly died on me.
These are claimed to be; "Re-engineered for less tug and pull versus Fusion". Well, I can tell you that I never had any tug and pull with my Fusion blades.... and I don't with these either.
So yes, they work very well indeed, last a long time - I haven't noticed any deterioration in shaving over 10 days - and I am very pleased with the product.
However, I shall probably go back to ordering Fusion blades in the future purely on price alone.

I've been trying these out and to honest they are just not better than the old Fusion Power. I think on a couple of days of growth they seem slightly better but on short stubble they feel the same or maybe slightly worse than the old version. Not a step forward sadly so given the prices per blade I'll probably stick to the old ones from now on unless these are on special offer.
