Constantly rotates/heats the sausages (for the time you specify) to cook them evenly, with the rollers/gaps the right size to cope with both 'large' and 'thin' sausages. The outsides don't get browned and crispy like they would under the grill, but they are cooked properly and taste good.
It heats your bread rolls nicely too - so that only the end of the roll needs to be open (much less mess while eating!). The drip tray is easy to clean, but unfortunately the rollers aren't quite so simple - you need to switch it on (but without the timer, thus no heat) so that you can wipe while the rollers turn.
