I bought this book as I needed it for my A level Art course, and thought that it would just be another book that would never be looked at. Until I actually researched and read about G&G I became very influenced and interested in their art and method of working. This book has very good quality prints of their work, and an extensive biography and insight into their lives. It definately helps you understand the men who put swear words and poo on their pictures!

This isn't a dry academic textbook, but a monagraph written from an artists point of view. The effect is that of a guided tour of an exibition, interspersed with background on the artists themselves. The art itself is beautifully presented in a profusion of plates. All in all, exellent value - both for the art expert who gets a definitive work, and for those new to G & G.
