The Siemens Gigaset C47H is the additional handset for the Siemens Gigaset C475 IP cordless phone. In fact when purchased the Gigaset C475 IP phone actually has a C47H as the original handset.
When purchased the Siemens Gigaset C47H comes supplied with stand in charger and rechargeable batteries.
As the Siemens Gigaset C47H is an IP ready phone it has the ability to store the details of up to 6 different SIP accounts. Also the Siemens C47H is compatible with the Gigaset.net VOIP service for making calls as well.
The handset has the ability to send and receive SMS text messages and has the capacity to store up to 150 names and numbers. With a backlit LCD screen it is also much easier to see menus and navigate these directories as well.
The Siemens Gigaset C47H will deliver high quality sound through the handset and also the built in handsfree speaker. Ring tones are adjustable and users can even change the volume levels of these as well.
As the Siemens Gigaset C47H is one of the ECO Dect phones by Siemens the standby and talk time is high.

I originally bought a pair of Siemens Gigaset phones and they worked so well and so easily that I bought a third and it almost set itself up. This is a really great quality product and it has superb battery life. The screen is clear as is the menu system. The answerphone is easy to use and has a lot of storage (We've had 27 messages on there and still not used up all the memory space). The only downside is Siemens has JUST released the same phone with Bluetooth connectivity which would be really useful for handsfree talking. There is a speakerphone built in, so this redeems it a bit. I didn't think I'd be using the internal pager system but now we use it like our own domestic telephone exchange.... really handy if you're watching TV in one room and you want call someone in the kitchen to grab you a beer!!

Just what I needed!
I have had several cheap cabled 'phones as the extension in my study but decided that as the Siemens Gigaset worked so well I would get a third handset.
I searched the net for a good price and found that Amazon came up with the goods as it so often does.
I put the handset on first charge in the main distribution cradle and it automatically registered as a third phone.
Thats it, all up and running, a good phone with great clarity an answer machine - the works ....no complaints at all

Already had a base station and one handset and wanted a handset in every room and these were an excellent price. Connected quite effortlessly into the system, work perfectly and are extremely useful as an intercom.

Extra handset
Didn't come with instructions on how to sync with existing handsets, referred you instead to the user manual. Once I found the manual online, it was easy to set and sync. Read more
