I purchased the Siemens Gigaset C475 two weeks ago since my old cordless system was on the verge of collapse. Delivery was next day, at no extra charge - top marks for the seller. To be honest the phone has more facilities that I am likely to use, but I wanted the quality, and got it without paying exorbitant prices. The set up is very simple, and similar to a mobile phone, but without all the hassle. The clarity of the voice calls is superb, and the adjustable volume control very easy to set. To test out the battery life I left it off the rechaging stand. Four days and two hours later, after making several calls, and playing around setting up my quick call numbers, it needed recharging.
It looks good, works well, and was very reasonably priced. What more could you ask for.

The sound quality is brilliant, unlike my previous phone which I had to put on loudspeaker just to hear the person at the other end. There are more memories and more features than I am likely to need. You can leave it off the base for days and the batteries are still fine. But best of all it is extremely easy and intuitive to use, with simple menus and a clear and uncluttered screen. You can even get a ring tone that sounds like a proper telephone ring.

We brought this to replace our old answer phone where we had to peer closely at the dial to see if we had any messages and then press the menu button umpteen times to access them! In contrast the Siemens is absolutely superb. Easy to set up, many more features than we are likely to use, there is a bright red led on the base unit that flashes if you have messages and all answerphone features are readily accessible from the base unit or the handset. Sound quality is very clear and the range easily covers all around our house and garden. The handset screen is bright, crystal clear and easily read and the handset has an incredibly long battery life. This phone is a delight to own and an absolute bargain at £46 so buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Do not buy if you work from home!
As much as the phone claims to have Mute functionality it only has a "Hold" feature. Its just unfortunate that a £[] phone doesnt have a basic Mute functionality - so, if you need... Read more
