I have found it very hard to find any information about the present Gigandet company and also any reviews about the G2 watch. This is the best info I have been able to glean so far. The original Gigandet company started in the 1920's in Switzerland and has seen several changes in ownership. In its early history it had association with the Wakmann and Breitling. In recent years it has been associated with Victorinox .Unfortunately, Fabrique d'horlogerie Charles Gigandet SA fell into liquidation. It appears that the present owner of the Gigandet watch brand, registered the brand in 2011. Most new Gigandet watches are now mainly sold by two companies, MTRSHOP24 & Yuduyu, both of which mainly operate on Amazon & Ebay. Both are based in Würzburg Germany. The owner of Yuduyu appears to own the Gigandet brand and also is the co-owner of several other brands, along with the owner of MRTSHOP24. It seems some degree of cooperation exists. Both companies have a high satisfaction history of trading with both Amazon and Ebay. I bought my watch through Amazon for added assurance.

I found only four reviews for the G2 watch all written in German. After translation they all appear to give the watch first class reviews or in one case 5 stars on Amazon-Germany.

I have had the G2 only a few days and it looks very impressive and well constructed. It's the design of a classic diver's watch, used by many other brands, but unlike some, has been very well executed. It has a real quality feel. As the Citizen-Miyota movement is one which is used in many other watches, my review is based solely on the design, construction and overall feel of the G2. Firstly it is heavy in a reassuring way. The face is largish but not ostentatious. The strap is chunky.
