As usual Gigabyte have come up with an extremely feature rich board that will suit a wide variety of requirements at a very competetive price
Whilst there are a few minor issues to iron out, packing in so many features means shadow BIOS is over crowded and some BOOT features are missing (namely one cannot access both Marvell and Intel RAID controller BOOT features together however; most importantly, that does NOT stop them working during Windows executions as the Marvell and Intel desktop RAID utilities are very user friendly and powerful)
I use the setup:
Intel Controller
SATA-600 2 x OCZ 120GB SSD in RAID0 configuration
SATA-300 3 x 1TB HDD in RAID5 configuration using Runcore 60GB SSD as cache
Marvell Controller
SATA-600 2 x 1TB HDD in RAID1 configuration
2 x ATi Radeon HD5750 linked in Crossfire mode
I have now been running this for around a month and I have a very fast and very robust system that has been fault free, even across a major PSU failure, with no loss of data
For a Home Business user where data integrity is paramount and high volumes of data are manipulated, e.g. video editing, graphical/CAD work, etc. this is an extremely powerful addition to the armoury
